Debt Related To Finance Phobia

Finance phobia is a condition that stems from a fear of money. This could be from an intense fear of potential debt or a debt related incidence from the past.

Finance phobics have a great fear of envelopes that have see-through windows as these are most likely to contain bank statements listing monetary figures which can either show a healthy bank balance or one that is slipping into debt. These envelopes will be quickly hidden away and unopened. When the stack of letters become out of date, the entire batch will usually be thrown into the bin and the sufferer will feel a sense of relief.

Life can be pretty difficult for a self employed finance phobic. Wading through till receipts and invoices can be a daunting time of the year, as they have to face up to their spending patterns to complete their tax returns. It is often a case of seek and ye shall find as sufferers look to the back of cupboards, drawers, the garage, in plant pots, anywhere where paper with printed figures could have been hidden.

A visit to the cash point can also be a nerve racking experience as finance phobics will worry that they have accumulated so much debt that the cash machine will refuse to give them any money. The five second delay as the machine processes their information; can be a strong traumatic experience for some. Another fear arises from accidentally pressing the mini-statement button which will make the finance phobic have to face up to the amount of money in their account.

Many finance phobics will fall into debt, as their reluctance to face up to any bills can debilitate their ability to pay.

Anyone who has a mental fear of money should seek medical advice and contact a debt management company who will help to resolve their financial difficulties and find a way for them to handle their finances with as least stress as possible.
