Q) “I've been declared bankrupt. What now?”
A) Sometimes, bankruptcy is the only option left. Once you have been declared bankrupt I would suggest a short time of reflection to think about what has actually happened and how it all came to this. I'm not saying beat yourself with sticks for it but, it will help to seriously think about where you went wrong so you never let your finances get to that stage again and you can recognise the signs for when you need to start getting debt help! Many people feel a certain relief once they have been declared bankrupt, that now they can start to rebuild their lives and begin again. A fresh start!
Being made bankrupt is not the end of the world!
Your bank accounts will be closed, your assets will be sold and your status will be announced in the press. Your future credit rating will need some serious time to heal - and the chances of anyone lending you money for the next few years is extremely slim. But your credit rating will eventually recover, and so will you!
Bankruptcy is really serious and should never be taken in jest, get the debt advice and help you need today and don't waste any more time thinking and worrying about it, life's for living, not paying back endless loans and their interests!
